Just reading the words “healthy diet plan” probably makes you feel sick, considering that you have already tried tons of diets and with no success.

Yes, we know that, although restrictive diets pay off for a while, they have drastic consequences in the long run. That is why we have no intention of asking you to starve yourself to death and limit your choices to a couple of products.

In fact, we have 5 basic principles you need to follow to create your own diet plan:

  1. Drink minimum 2 liters of water or sugar-free tea every day. The hours and quantities are entirely your choice, but you might want to have a glass of water before each meal. It will help you accelerate digestion and eliminate fat, and it will fill your stomach and make you eat less.
  2. Eat something every 3 hours or so and in small quantities. You will avoid excessive hunger and help your body process food and eliminate fat easier. This may be a little difficult to accomplish at first, especially if you have a difficult schedule at work, but simple tasty snacks like an apple or some yoghurt can actually work miracles for your stomach without affecting your weight.
  3. Never eat late in the evening. The only thing allowed after 18:00 is sugar free tea. This way, you body processes the food and burns the fat before you go to sleep, preventing it from adding up. You will lose weight and you will sleep better.
  4. Avoid processed food and fat meat. It is probably the most important part of any healthy diet plan. Nowadays, when processing is synonym with chemicals, it is better to eat raw products or cook them at home, processing them as little as possible. And don’t worry; there are a lot of tasty recipes based on boiled and barbequed ingredients you can try. Avoid fried meat and fried vegetables, and avoid mixing bread with meat, potatoes or rice.
  5. Avoid sugar and baked products. Yes, you are allowed to have dessert, but instead of cookies or chocolate, how about a fruit salad? And don’t exaggerate with the quantities, because the more you eat the more you want.

When you apply these principles, keep in mind that repetition is the mother of learning. If you follow your diet plan to the letter, your body will get used to it and the hunger and the cravings will soon disappear.

So be true to yourself, be careful when choosing quantities and avoid making exceptions. There is no doubt that you will soon start looking for excuses to make exceptions, but if you really want to, you can find it in yourself to resist the temptation and to fight for what you actually want – to lose weight.

The greatest thing about creating your own healthy diet plan is that the whole family can embrace it and the meals can still be a happy family event you can enjoy to the fullest.
